Hi I’m Paula a Myotherapist and the founder of Myo Movement Myotherapy & Pilates.
I started my Myotherapy journey at RMIT University and graduated in 2011 with an Advanced Diploma of Myotherapy.
In 2010 my career took sail in a Physiotherapy clinic in Hoppers Crossing. Working in a busy practice alongside a variety of allied health professionals, I was exposed to a wide variety of musculoskeletal conditions (in my element) suffered by patients of all ages, allowing my skill set and knowledge to widen.
In this time, I was itching to do more, so I started working with local sports teams such as the Werribee VFL and elite teams such as Richmond Football Club.
It didn’t stop there, I continued to expand on my knowledge by widening my scope of practice by completing a Paediatric Massage Instructor course in 2016. From then on, I began to run group and private classes for mothers and their babies to educate mothers on how to preform infant massage on their babies for purposes such as enhancing bonding, reflux and colic.
In 2019 I completed my Certificate IV in Pilates my Diploma in Clinical Pilates with Breathe Education. Can I get a hell yeah!
Now just under a decade of being in the industry (woahza), I’ve developed some special interests such as a holistic approach to Myotherapy treatment (I’m not a hippy, just like a good natural, Australian made product and have an anti-pills will fix everything policy).
I focus on the bigger picture when it comes to improving and managing your pain. I understand everyone's injuries are different and I tailor a solution uniquely for you. I thrive on bringing longevity and a preventative approach towards your long-term health.
Outside of work, I enjoy keeping myself busy (what a shock) with a wide range of activities, anything and everything from going to the gym and keeping fit during the working week, to riding my Kawasaki Ninja on the weekends at track day events. During the summer seasons I’m chasing the sun, enjoying time with friends and during the winter season I enjoy travelling to new cities and countries still chasing the sun and new adventures.
