What is Myotherapy?

Myotherapy is a manual therapy that focuses on assessing, treating and managing muscular pain and the restriction of joint movements.

Myotherapy is applied at any stage of an individual’s injury and is continued into the maintenance stage of recovery. This helps restore and maintain the normal integrity of the soft tissue structures, such as muscles, tendons, ligaments and fascia within the body.

Myofascial (muscle) pain is often described by the individual as a deep or dull ache, tightness or tenderness in an area. Other symptoms can include a reduced range of movement, stiffness, fatigue, weakness, numbness or tingling sensations.

At Myo Movement Myotherapy we see the body as a whole and approach all our treatments with a holistic approach. By having this approach we gain a better understanding on how to correctly and effectively treat our clients. Our goal with all clients is to focus on longevity and a prevention. This approach will guarantee a better outcome for reducing your pain long term.

We believe incorporating cupping, Dry needling and of course stretching and corrective exercise to get your body feeling stronger and more mobile.
