ABOUT US

HI THERE,

Myo Movement Myotherapy here, your local go-to Myotherapist.

Can you answer the following questions?

  1. Are you tired of your body breaking down on you?

  2. Are you forever living with some type of pain?

  3. Do you have a clear plan on how to reduce your pain?

If you didn’t answer yes to all the above questions and on top of it, you’re fed up then we can help you. I can hear you saying, so what makes you bunch so different to the rest?

Our goal is to first educate you on what’s happening to your body and secondly, bring balance back into your life. And by balance, I mean pain-free movements and restoring functional movement back into your life.

Okay real talk now, we focus on the bigger picture when it comes to improving and managing your pain.

We understand everyone's injuries are different and we tailor a solution uniquely for you. We thrive ourselves on getting people moving well and often. We do this by planning and aiming for longevity and a preventative approach towards your long-term health.

How do we do this you say? By not guessing about the answers, but by showing you through real time biofeedback equipment, used during your assessment and then following that up with a strong foundation of hands on skills and a plan to get you moving again.

See told you we’re more than just your average Myotherapist!

 FIRST MOVE WELL,

 THEN MOVE OFTEN.

HAPPY CLIENTS

Paula has been treating my husband and I for over 5 years. She always seems to know where you’re sore without even saying anything! She has relieved many headaches, backaches, stiff necks and so many other sore and tired body aliments. She is professional and so knowledgeable while still being super personable and a genuine soul. I will never see anyone else, and I couldn’t recommend her services enough!

FAQ

Do you need a referral to see a Myotherapist?

No! In most cases, Myotherapist’s do not require a referral from a medical practitioner. However, if the individual is a client of Workcover it is essential to have a written referral from a doctor or case manager.

What can I expect during my first Myotherapy treatment?

You will be assessed on your presenting complaint through a postural assessment and range of motion testing.
Your therapist will explain their findings and discuss the treatment plan before you hop onto the bed.
After your treatment your therapist will reassess you and then give you home care advice.

What should I wear to my Myotherapy Treatment?

You can wear whatever you’re comfortable in. Your therapist will instruct you on how much clothing to remove/ keep on depending on where your complaint is presenting.

NOTE: All therapist leave the room to allow you to undress in private. You will be given an appropriately sized towel to drape yourself. Your therapist will instruct you to which way they would like you to lay on the treatment bed.

Can I claim my Myotherapy treatment using my Private Health Insurance?

Yes, we have a HICAPS machine in the clinic so you can claim your Myotherapy treatment, just as long as you have either “Remedial Massage or Myotherapy” as part of your extras cover.

When should I see a Myotherapist?

Whenever, you don’t need to be in pain to see a Myotherapist. You can book anytime you feel you your muscles need some TLC.
